It's been a while, but finally getting back into Pinterest! I like to look at all of the pretty pictures and ideas I've collected, and roll them into one place.  Went to Starbucks the other day and spent a lil' while going through my boards and getting inspired again for some future projects.  It was a great way to relax and kill time while waiting for my mom to get out of her meeting.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope your day has been going well - whether or not you have a special someone.

Always finding an "excuse" to bake and create, I made little desserts for my students.  Started out by cutting out hearts, and baking the sugar cookies and brownies, and assembling them (with extra baggies and strings from Christmas).  Baked on Monday; handed out the treats to the kids on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons. I think everything went well. :)

I don't have an exclusive Valentine this time around, but that's okay! I was able to chill all day (Thursdays are my day off), sending lil' messages to friends, and now I'm watching Cinderella (favorite movie!) 

Love should be shared and given every day of the year. So, whatever you do the rest of the day....

Make it happen.

Lately, I've been contemplating a few things - ways to grow personally and professionally. Sometimes I get in a rut because I know I'm not where I need to be. I try to push myself.  But...there's always the fear of failing. (Especially when you've previously tried over and over.) It's hard. I'm the girl who over-thinks and reasons with herself why things won't work out. This morning, I saw this:

So, I gotta get it together! Little by little, step by step. Getting out there and making stuff happen. 'Cause I won't get what I want and deserve if I don't do anything.

Yes...again.

I know, I post and then never return. But let's try again. Goal for 2013 - Post more often!

Lots have happened since I last wrote.

- Danced at the Kennedy Center - that was an intense and wonderful experience.
- Worked my tush off in the summer, dancing, choreographing musicals, and working with kids.
- Made new friends and connections.

Things have calmed down a little, but will kick back into gear very soon, with an upcoming dance performance in Florida! Very grateful for the opportunity.

So, yeah. Hope you're doing well and this venue will continue to grow. C-Y-C will still be a place where I talk about all the things that interest me and more! I'm going to hold myself to it.
